7pm and her shift will be done

As many had the opportunity to experience the Psycho Nurse yesterday afternoon, Mak was relieved of horrible bed side manners with a nurse that Joan, David and Emma really like. The nice nurse whom they have had in previous days was able to explain to them why touching and talking to Mak can be over stilmulating and why it should be avoided at times. Needless to say the family went to bed knowing Mak was in good hands. As for the other nurse lets all hope she doesn't get assigned to him again. As to when he will be transported to Sacramento, that is still undecided. The doctors are expected to meet this morning (Monday) to discuss his condition and if all is a go, they then contact Kaiser in Sacramento and make sure a bed and staff is awaiting his arrival.

Thanks again for all your support so far at the Highland Hospital in the oh so beautiful area of Oakland. I will say the support you shown and dedication to my family, must of made the staff in the ICU think Mak was celebrity. And rightfully so, he is our rock star.

    Thanks for organizing the blog to help us stay connected to Mak. He is a popular swim instructor at blue camp. Everyone on the Cal Youth & Outdoor programs team is pulling for him. He is always so friendly, patient, and even tempered at camp.

    Unfortunately Mak is the second Blue Camp staff member to be in a coma from head trauma. Another staff member Mak knew, John Murphy, fell 4 stories this summer and was at highland. From reading this blog, Mak's injuries sound much less severe than John's. You may find it encouraging to see John's recovery from his fall.

    Hi -
    I just learned of Mak's accident from Jen Selke and I send my love to Mak, his family, and friends. It is SO important that you keep telling Mak that you are there for him and that you love him! He can hear you!! And it is ok to hold his hand!! Support and love of family and friends can lead to miraculous recoveries. John Murphy is my brother and nurses, doctors, staff, etc.. have told us OVER and OVER since July that the reason he has made the recovery he has is due to the love and prayers of family and friends.
    I will keep Mak in my thoughts and prayers!

    Thank you Molly, your message means a lot to us. I am Mak's close cousin in Sacramento. I read over your brothers website after Jen's posting and it gave such comfort to know there is hope. Your brothers recovery is amazing and so inspirational. Through all of this we must stay strong and always surround Mak and John with positive energy. Our bodies are nothing but powerful energy that can make amazing miracles happen.
